Local Cub Scouts spread Christmas cheer to kids in the community Posted on: 10:33 pm, December 14, 2013, by Mark Green SANDY, Utah – A group of Cub Scouts from Sandy helped out other children just in time for Christmas. Members of Pack 3411 collected shoe boxes full of toys and treats and wrapped them, and the group dropped the packages off Saturday at the Ronald McDonald House. The scouts placed the presents, which will go to children in need, under the tree themselves. The scouts helped pick out the contents of the packages, and they wrote a short letter to the children receiving the gift. Leaders said it was part of their annual fall service project. Chris Douglas is the committee chair for Pack 3411, and he said events like these help the boys learn. “Teaching the boys to give back to the community, it’s a great feeling when a project comes to the end and we can bring these presents into the Ronald McDonald House for kids that will need them this Christmas season,” he said. Officials at the Ronald McDonald House said the effort helps spread joy to those calling the house their home this winter.

Canoeing - 4-H Camp 2013 - Palisades Reservoir

So much fun Canoeing on Palisades Damn. This was the best time with friends and family! The kids were a little scared!

4-H Camp July 2013 - Playing on the Playground - Friends Forever

This playground used to be at the Afton Elementary School in Wyoming. They moved it to the Grover Park in Grover, Wyoming. Memories of broken arms and collar bones came to mind as my kids played on the Giant Strikes! Such a fun recess we all had in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade. The Kindergarten Slide and Monkey Bars also brought back many memories of jump roping and playing! This was the best vacation with my best friend and her kids!

Horse Back Riding in Wyoming!

We had so much fun riding horses in Wyoming. Nicla got it all worked out to ride Tim Trefren's Horses! His daughter taught the kids how to ride and how to guide the horse. We stayed in the corral and everyone was safe. "It was the best day ever!" I'm pretty sure that is what Carson said to me at least 3 times! :) We all had a blast! Thanks Tim Trefren and Daughter Tori!
